Port Permits

Opening East Asia port permits requires a fair ammount of total fame and completing Imperial quests to open all the prior port/canal port permits.

The total fame ammounts within the brackets are without having any of the nation storyline completed. once you have 28k total fame(without the Middleton storyline completed) for English players for example, you will to need to complete Imperial Quests from your nation consuls as listed below.

E Coast of Latin America:
Imperial quest from your home nation Royal Palace. Report back to the Royal Palace for the permits.

Southeast Asia:
Imperial quest from Calicut Royal Consul located south of Calicut. Report back to the Royal Palace for the permits.

South Pacific Ocean:
Complete the Circumnavigation quest from Seville outside of the Seville Royal Palace.

W Coast of Latin America:
Imperial quest from Rio De Janeiro Royal Consul.  Report back to the Royal Palace for the permits.

Panama Canal:
Requires Portobelo and Panama discovered(check Journal>Discoverys>Port:Settlement if you're unsure you have them discovered or not).
Imperial quest from Santiago Royal Consul. Report back to the Royal Palace for the permits.

Suez Canal:
Requires Cairo and Suez discovered.
Imperial quest from your home nation Royal Palace.  Report back to the Royal Palace for the permits.

East Asia:
Imperial quest from Manila Royal Consul. Report back to the Royal Palace for the permits and congratulations you have East Asia port permits and you can begin nanban trading.
