The Grand Shipbuilding Project Event.

First we need to talk to the port official and select the button for 'To Small Port Town' then talk to Meymey.

After talking to Meymey you need to head to a town that corresponds to your nation and speak with the NPC listed below, then we speak with the Shipbuilding Researcher.

Once speaking with the Shipbuilding Researcher we need to deliver 200 of a random trade good.
The trade goods that will be required randomly are:
Black-mud, Sand, Sulfur, Bronze, Coal, Iron, Copper, Steel, Logs, Lumber, Aluminum Alloy, Stainless Steel, Cast Iron, Heavy Oil, Jute, Flax, Raw Silk, Fur, Leather, Coconut Fiber, Sisal, Linin Fabric, Silk Fabric, Cotton Fabric, Woollen Fabric, Cannon, Cannon Shot, Leather Cord, Bronze Statue, Marble Statue.

Quick tip. When your nation is in IR(Industrial Revolution) status you can use a stockpile feature to buy most of the IR trade goods required for the Shipbuilding Researcher, instead of having find/buy all the ingredients. Use the Blast Furnace and select a recipe you need.

Part 1
of the event is delivering 200 of a random trade good mentioned above, that will be known to you once talking to the Shipbuilding Researcher. This can be done once per day and offers 10 points in the event, that's it, pretty simple.

Part 2, Submit Ocean Survey Reports will be talking to NPCs in certain towns depending on your own nation.
Spain: Santo Domingo; at the Shipyard.
Portugal: Inhambane; at the Shipyard.
Venice: Aden; at the Shipyard.
France: Havana; Tavern.
Netherlands: Cape Town; Near the Town Official.
England: Tamatave; Tavern.
Ottoman: Goa, India.

Each report awards 10 points and is once per day.

Part 3, Report Battle Results(Novice Raider) involves defeating a fleet named Pirate Crew(name may differ slightly) at numerous locations around Europe, Caribbean and S/N America. These fleets are comprised of very weak ships and the more convenient fleets are located at NW of Gijon, NE of Edinburgh, SE of Syracuse and NW of Casablanca.

Very simple and awards 20 points and is once per day.

Part 4 has 2 options, Report Battle Results(Master Raider) and Gather a Token of Appreciation.

Report Battle Results(Master Raider) involves defeating Elite Pirate Crew(name may differ) and are located at:
India, West Coast, SW of Goa.
South Indian Ocean, coords 3525, 4582
Bay of Bengal, S of Calcutta.
Central Indian Ocean, NE of Diego Garcia farm.

We need to defeat these fleets 10 times per day and sinking the admiral quickly will suffice, no need to sink all ships in the fleets.

We earn 300 points and this is once per day. Please note: There is some confusion on Maris that this part is repeatable without a limit. There is a limit! Seee below for the method that does not have a limit.

Gather a Token of Appreciation: This part has no limit! I will expand on the trade goods needed for this part seperately. But first I will just list off what is needed. Like Part 1 we deliver trade goods to (I assume) is the Shipbuilding Researcher again. The goods are:

Sturgeon x20, Herb Oil x20, Herb Salt x20, Rare Books x20, Milk Wine x2, Peacock Feathers x1, Chinese Paintings x5, Cedar x20, Garam Masala x20.

Delivering a randomized request from the NPC awards 40 poionts and has no limit.

Onto the rewards and what to use our points for!

I recomend we only use our points to purchase Gift Box (No.4) at the Shipbuilding Secretary.

The Gift Box (No.4) thats costs 100 points to purchase, has a chance to give up a national reinforced hull, not to be confused with national hulls we already have ingame. These new hulls we acquire from this time limited event can build incredible, player built ships. For every 3,000 points earned during this event, you can acquire an item from the Shipbuilding Secretary such as a national flag decoration, national crest, National Marshal Unifrom or the National Reinforced Hull to build the great new ships.

As of yet we're unsure if these hulls will be locked to your own nation. I suspect it will be locked to the nationality of players and if so we'll need to trade hulls for other national hulls amongst ourselves.

The new ships that stand out to me are:

Ottoman Galleass II.
Can be used a trading rowship. Quite low lvls.
Without the minimum crew needed to sail shown I can't know for sure the exact cargo it can have, but it will around 1,236 cargo at +25% max hold/cargo.
In teak panel stats, 4x 41/41-1 sails, 2x 24v Spankers it will have 602v/607h sail speeds.

If modded for battle, an impressive 1,908 dura in national military panel stats (+43% dura) and 393 crew.
These stats are at G6 max modded. The ship is built with Red Pine panel as default,

Atlantica II.
1,453 cargo at G6 max modded. Nanban Trade Preference as optional skill, no EA though.
Good sail speeds, pretty low levels needed.
Can be used as alt or aide ship though with those good sail speeds will work as lead ship.
Great turn/WR/Armour base stats. I would even consider going SU123 on grades, Steam Engine as Original skill to use as lead ship and forgetting about EA inherit. Or EA inherit, SU12 for grades.
The ship is built in Oak panel as default.

San Felipe II.
1,949 dura with national military stats (+43% dura) and 351 crew at G6 max modded, very impressive. It has an odd but good set off of skills available including Emergency Acceleration, this has some OK sail speeds so maybe something you might want.
Comes in Iron panel as default.

The other ships shown here: https://uwo.papayaplay.com/uwo.do?tp=news.view&postid=6159 are also decent ships. The Neapolitan Galleass II, Golden Hind II, La Belle II all look fast and have their uses. The Neapolitan Galleass also can have a high cargo to be used a row trader, or also good for battle when modded accordingly.
The Prins Willem II has high cargo at 1,387 at G6 max modded, has both EA and NTP as optional skills, decent sail speed though slower than the Atlantica II by quite a large margin.
The Atlantica II should perform almost identically in terms of top speed, acceleration, turning etc to the City of Adelaide, however the Atlantica II needs significantly less levels needed to sail it but remember it does not have Emergency Acceleration.

These new ships have more skills than their older counterparts so check https://uwo.papayaplay.com/uwo.do?tp=news.view&postid=4030 for their skills.
I know a few players wanting the Golden Hind II for the Reference Room skill for example.

I will post all the trade goods and how to acquire for Part 4, Gather a Token of Appreciation seperately.

Epic Sea Feud Bundle Give Away

Hiya guys, so it's been a long time since I made a new post, and there will be more to come.

I decided to make ESF bundle to give away to help players enjoy ESF as well as gain rewards, click the thumbnail below on details but I will talk about here what went into the bundles (it was an 'epic' project, pun intended).

So the project included:

40 Gunboats, 20 Rearguard Bombardas for light ships.

12 Battle Heavy Caravel, 9 Commander Sambuk, 15 Commander Corvette, 26 Commander Heavy Cavarel for standard ship.

All ship are iron paneled, most did not need an iron panel as they could have been produced in iron as base. Also all ships are modded 3 or 4 times, all have 2 optional skills and 1 original skill, and all ships are graded to G3, so it was quite an endeavour.

Luckily I am a rare item plunderer, so the Famous Admiral's staffs needed for Commander Hulls and Heavily Armoured Sterncastles were acquirable for me in bulk. I did intend on plundering Scatterguns, but after around 10 plundered I realised they were time costly and the rare fleet was unreliable as it would de-spawn.

For ship parts, I had to produce 780 Set of Repair Tools, 600 for Grand Cannons and 180 for the Ganador platings. Luckily I saved Broken Cannon/Broken Armour dropped from Ganador which was needed to produce it all. The Heavily Armoured Sterncastles came from plundering and the Garuda were easy to produce.

Again thanks to rare plundering I was able to plunder Mode Design v7 and produce Captain Equipment in bulk.

I started out wanting to do this project alone, I didn't want to burden anyone with their time producing items they would get nothing from their time, HOWEVER, the company I am in is FUBB, took it upon themselves to help, and they helped massively. I didn't ask them for help, but they did anyway :D

Without their help I would still been producing FS parts, buying SSIPs etc for weeks longer. They donated SSIPs, ESBRs, FS parts etc on a massive scale, as well as mod some ships themselves, so I can't thank them enough.

The Bundles are 100% free designed to help players experience ESF that would normally not have the funds or the means to produce their ships, cannons etc, and are not intended for players to sell.

If you feel like the ships no longer serve you, or you manage to produce/buy better ships, then please give the ships away for free to company members or other ESF newcomers.

Many thanks, hope you have fun in ESF!

Stay tuned for video guides upcoming on running dungeons in Maris with today's buffs/bonuses you can get ingame for dungeons, and Ganador battle skill grinds(quests are dead for grinding now).

Plundering Rare Item - The Tutorial and Map

Plundering rare items is enjoyable and very rewarding but it does take some patience.
Below is a video tutorial on the basics of plundering with a battle, tips and a description of the rare fleets.
Click the video thumbnail to start the video.

Below is a link to a world plunder map (still a work in progress until I can confirm a few items, fleets etc)

I doubt I would have been able to start rare item plundering without the help of Akasan's blog.
Most of the information here is from Akasan's blog with little updates from myself and others.

Link to Akasan's blog: http://akasan-uwo.blogspot.jp/

I hope this helps, you can find the guide on the OGP forum, Guides and Tips section and will be checking for comments and questions so I can help as best I can. Thanks, MarcoS
